Learning Laptop      I wish to use this grant money to purchase a laptop computer to use with a smartboard and LCD projector. Soon each classroom in our school will have a smartboard and LCD projector, but we will still need laptops. I will need a laptop computer to use with the smartboard and LCD projector. It would be used daily throughout the curriculum. It would be used to access interactive websites to reinforce students' math and reading skills. It would be used to create powerpoints to use during lessons in all subject areas. Students will utilze the laptop along with the smartboard and LCD projector during independent learning time also to reinforce literacy and technology skills. Students will use it to conduct research in science and social studies as well. Without a laptop, we will not be able to utilizeour smartboard or LCD projector. I have found that by using a smartboard and LCD projector, I am better able to help improve students reading and math skills, along with thier knowledge in science and social studies. My special education student is better able to see things that are projected on the LCD projector. THis laptop will be most beneficail to all ofmy students' academic achievement.
