Symposium on World Language Careers and Opportunities      The grant will be used to cover expenses for a selected site to host a symposium on careers and opportunities related to world languages for all Mobile County world language teachers and approx 700 of their students. Will feature reps from 4 areas to discuss opportunities and incentives available in their fields to successful world language students. Areas are:1) Local Business (public and private enterprises such as port, aeronautics, tourism, etc)); 2) Military and Federal (FBI,Border Patrol,diplomatic corps,etc); 3)Humanitarian Peace Corps, Red Cross, etc); and 4) Academic (college/universities that offer BOTH an overseas study program AND teacher-training for future teachers of world languages).
